Our Staff All classrooms are staffed with a lead teacher and an aide. Teachers and aides work together to plan
activities and prepare lessons for the class. We do not have a high turnover rate in our staff. Many of our teachers
and aides have been with ECC for ten years or more. Staff Training
All teachers and aides must complete annual training
in pediatric CPR and First Aid. In addition, all staff are trained in the Safe Sanctuaries policies of the United Methodist
Church. Each summer, our teachers and aides attend professional development sessions in the Kansas City area.
In November 2007, we sent three teachers and our director to the NAEYC conference in Chicago. In November 2008, we sent
our director and one teacher to the NAEYC conference in Dallas.
