Our StaffAll classrooms are staffed with a lead teacher and an aide. Teachers
and aides work together to prepare lessons and plan activities for the class. We do not have a high turnover
rate among our staff. Many teachers and aides have been with ECC for ten years or longer.
Staff training
All teachers and aides complete annual training in
pediatric CPR and First Aid. In addition, they are regularly trained and screened according to the Safe Sanctuaries
policies of the United Methodist Church. Each summer, our teachers and aides attend professional development sessions
in the Kansas City area. In recent years we have also sent some teachers and our director to the NAEYC conferences in
Chicago, Dallas, and Orlando.
